This is my second rental and thought I found a good place where I didn't have to go pick up and drop off at the airport. I reserved an XL SUV and received a Van instead and was told it was a busy time. It worked out fine. Today I took a video as I do before returning the car as I filled it up a half a mile away and sat there while they check out the car. I was told all looked good and was asked if an email receipt was Ok. I said it was fine but noticed after work that I never received it. I logged into the app and noticed I was overcharged by tolls (this time I didn't pay my own and used the Hertz add on which was a mistake) and was charged $100 for outside wash. This was after I left and was told it all looked good. I have a video from right outside, and the car was clean with only a few rain spots from the morning. Now I can't get in contact with anyone but the no-good automated machine. I will keep trying and inform my bank of the amount agreed upon verses the amount charged. I hope they can make this right to keep us as a customer and update this review.

Update: I sent this to the contact us form and am waiting a response and will follow up if I don't hear from anyone.

Update: I never got the chance to speak to anyone, but I did receive an email letting me know my account was reviewed, and I received the $100 overcharge back to my card. I don't know what the charge was for, but I am glad it was resolved.

Worst customer service ever. Charged for things on the car that weren’t even wrong. When asked if I could fix the problem they stated was wrong before they completed the return I was told NO but he was trying g to help me out. I was 2 hours early returning my rental so there was time. Worst rental place ever. I will stick with enterprise definitely for future rentals. Avoid this place at all cost.

The guys there are top level. The two young guys and the one that wears the glasses (sorry bad with names) were super helpful, went above and beyond to help me out, i had a day rental with a mustang (woulda preferred a tesla) and returned it with zero issues. Gave the guy a tip & he was happy i showed gratitude. I’ll be returning and i hope this review makes it to their management !

Everything possible that could go wrong went wrong with this rental. Now I understand why Hurtz has such a bad rating. Pre-paid for my car through Expedia when I arrived at the Hertz rental counter they weren’t knowledgeable enough nor willing to rewrite it under another credit card in order to get the credit card to except the security deposit. I think it was all a game to keep them from having to honoring EXPEDIA‘s price. I would certainly not recommend this location of Hurtz Car Rental.

I recently had a dreadful experience with Hertz Car Rental at their Orlando location, Sunstate Ford West Colonial HLE, 3535 West Colonial Drive, Orlando, FL 32808. Despite reserving an SUV well in advance, I arrived to find that not only was my reserved vehicle unavailable, but they didn't have any SUVs at all. The staff, particularly a female employee, were extremely rude and unwelcoming, offering me a small Kia instead. This was unacceptable, as I had specifically booked an SUV for a reason. I was traveling with many pieces of luggage and a 1-year-old baby, making an SUV essential. My entire day was ruined, and I wasted hours trying to find an alternative. It's infuriating that Hertz accepted my reservation without having the vehicle available and then treated me so poorly. This level of service is completely unacceptable, and I will never rent from Hertz again.

I want to thank Fin for showing such exemplary customer service to me and my husband Wednesday, May 22, 2024. He was able to remedy a situation that had unfolded at the last minute with professionalism and patience.

He listened to us, remained patient ( in spite of us showing up at closing), problem solved quickly and escalated our concerns to his manager, Brian Pope, with immediate remedy, and was extremely efficient whilst maintaining a very pleasant demeanor.

You have a phenomenal employee representing the Hertz brand. He sets an example of what good customer service looks and feels like. He is what will make customers like us come back for future rentals and repeat business.

Thank you Fin and Brian for taking such good care of us.

I will go out of my way to avoid this place in the future. No communication with the Ford dealership they partner with. Every time I've had to pick a rental something is wrong. Completely understaffed, long wait times. no customer service. The last time and final time I used them, they were supposed to refund the deposit after the car was returned, and they did not. Tried to complain in person but the wait was over an hour. No one picks up the phone , and no way to leave a message. Finally just had to dispute the charge with my credit card company.

If you value your time and money, absolutely avoid this place.

The staff here is very friendly. The cars that I have rented have been clean and run great. You can’t help what previous renters do to a vehicle but I can tell that the staff does their best to make the cars as presentable as possible. I have only rented Teslas from them. I had an issue that I could not address until I dropped the vehicle off. They went above and beyond to handle concerns. The gentlemen that work at this location are always kind and smiling. I appreciate their service oriented attitudes.
